Insurance Recommendation
As a long-time slip owner and a semi-retired insurance agent ( after 50+ yrs.) I left our last annual meeting feeling somewhat remiss in not sharing a little bit of my insurance expertise with all my fellow shareholders. In today’s litigious society we all should have our slips listed and described as either “owner occupied” or “rented to others” under the liability coverage of our homeowners policy. The yearly premium for my “additional residence rented to others” endorsement with Auto-Owners Insurance Company is about $8.00 per year. The endorsement reads as follows: Liability Coverage Extension Only: Additional Residence Rented to Others 600 Marquette Ave Slip #84 Bay City MI 48706 One Family, Medical Payments Included.
